Only record dead snails (shell only) if you can see a code from a previous year.

If the snail has previously been marked then enter the 3 digit code, if there is only a colour blob then treat the snail as unmarked for Practical 1.

Only choose 'unreadable' if the snail has been marked with an individual code but you cannot verify the code.

We are only interested in Common Garden Snails.
